Visit to Maine
This was my favorite scarecrow at the Ogunquit Scarecrow Festival. We stayed there for 2 nights on our way to bar Harbor. Very nice town. Great walk called The Marginal Way along the ocean. This was the sunrise our first morning in Bar Harbor. I took this from the little porch of our hotel room. BEAUTIFUL! What a nice way to start the day! This was my knitting project when we arrived at Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park. Isn't it pretty. It is on a bench with a picture of Portland Head Light carved in it. I had to put this project away and start a scarf out of red and white yarn that evening because the World Series started and I just couldn't work with yarn with purple because it would look like I was rooting for the Rockies:(. Bass Harbor Light was our next stop. Very pretty but not that easy to see. You have to down a lot of stairs and across the rocks. Worth the hike! Will post more pics from Maine next blog. Could only get these pictures to load.
