Knit One, Tea Two Questionnaire

Knit 1 Tea 2 Color Swap Questionnaire

Do you like loose tea or bags, or both – something you want to try?
Usually use tea bags but open to change.

What is your favorite kind of tea (Brand, flavor, variety, etc)?
No specific brand but prefer caffeine free. Like fruit flavors or spicy teas.

Favorite color in regards to tea or one you would like to try? (black, green, red, and white) (keeping in mind that this is how this swap is set up).
Would like to try white, like red also.

Would you say you were a tea pot kind of person or just a hot water heater kind?
Hot water kind although I still have the teapot my great aunt gave me 38 years ago when I got married. It is english china. Have had teapots in the past but for some reason got away from them. Might be time to try them again.

What tea accessories would you like but have never purchases for yourself?
Tea bag squeezer

How do you prefer to be pampered? (examples: mani/pedi, bubble bath, yummy treat, etc).
Listen to music or podcasts on my Ipod while sitting on beach or in my hammock swing eating chocolates

If you were a kind of yarn what would you be and why?
Something soft and purple or lavender.

If you had to knit/crochet baby booties, a fun fur scarf, or a fair isle sweater, which would you choose and why?
Baby booties. Sweaters are too much work, fun fur makes me sneeze and I love to make smaller items that can be finished quickly and worked on anywhere. I knit to relax.

What other event would make you skip a tea party? (A garden party? A book club meeting? A yoga class? Opening night for a new action thriller? etc?)
Book signing with the Yarn Harlot! Red Sox game! Yarn sale at Webs!

What treat would you consider essential at your tea party? (Sweet? Salty? Scones? Those petite pastry trays with a couple of all sorts of things? Little crust less sandwiches?)
Love anything with chocolate, petite pastries are great, some fresh fruit salad would be nice. Something salty to counter the chocolate would be nice also - nuts maybe.

When buying yarn for a project how do you choose - do you buy the one called for or do you substitute?
Buy the one that has the color I want, somtimes the one called for - sometimes not. Just depends. Also if original calls for something to expensive I will make substitution.

What do you carry your knitting/crocheting in when on the go?
One of my MANY tote bags! I have a very large collection of tote bags so can find one for any/all projects. When I am on vacation I often pick up a bag as a souvenir for myself and family members get them for me.

Favorite movie to watch while knitting/crocheting?
The Godfather 1,2,3. Lots of knitting time. Have seen them so often I know them all by heart so they don't distract from my knitting.
Love Steel Magnolias but I always cry during it and get my knitting all wet. Also like to watch the Red Sox or Bruins while I knit.

Are you a traditional tea cup kind of person or a mug type of person? Do you care if they match?
Mug, don't care if they match!

Favorite childhood birthday party?
Ones I got to spend with my grandmother. On my 11th birthday I was staying with her and my mom had twin boys that am. I already had 3 brothers so was very upset. My Grammy took me to Mc Donalds which was a very special treat and had my name announced on the radio because it was my birthday. Will always remember that birthday!

Favorite type of scone and jam?
Chocolate chip scones.
Any type of berry jam.

If you use candles, what is your favorite scent?
Ocean or floral scents
Like spicy scents also
.

If you could choose 3 people to have 'tea' with, who would they be and why? (famous or not, living or dead).
1. My Grammy! Because she was a very special person who always believed in me and was always there when I needed her. She taught me so many things about life and being a good person. She also liked tea - had a cup every evening with her soda crackers and every am with her cereal.
2. Amelia Erhart - her story has always fascinated me.
3. Elvis - just to hear him sing Love me Tender

You've been invited to a tea party, what 'props' will you wear (formal or casual)?
Casual, denim jumper/dress and sandals.

Any allergies/preferences you have or are willing to admit to?
Allergic to wine

Anything we missed that you want your pal to know?
Don't think so, please feel free to ask if you think of something!

July 2007 in NH

JUST A FEW PICTURES FROM OUR STAY IN NH. WE STAYED AT A NICE LITTLE INN ON THE TIP OF LAKE WINNEPAUSAKEE.

I WAS ABLE TO GET MY DISHCLOTH FOR "THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER SWAP" DONE WHILE SITTING BY THE BEACH. VERY RELAXING!

I WAS ALSO ABLE TO GET SOME GOODIES FOR MY PARTNERS IN BOTH THE DOG DAYS SWAP AND THE KNITTERS VIRTUAL VACATION. SINCE MY HOME STATE IS SO SMALL I AM TAKING MY VIRTUAL PAL TO VISIT OTHER PLACES FOR HER VIRTUAL VACATION.

THE RIDE UP AND DOWN THE AUTO ROAD ON MT WASHINGTON WAS A NAIL BITER! BEAUTIFUL VIEW FROM SUMMIT. ALSO 30 DEGREES COOLER. I WANTED TO TAKE A PICTURE OF MY KNITTING AT THE SUMMIT BUT IT WAS TO WINDY! I WAS AFRAID IT WOULD GET BLOWN DOWN THE MOUNTAIN!

OUR HOTEL WAS ONLY ABOUT A 1/4 MILE FROM PATTERNWORKS AND KEEPSAKE QUILTING! WHAT LUCK! MY BF GAVE ME A GIFT CERTIFICATE TO THEM AND I HAD A GREAT TIME SPENDING IT. I SPENT AN HOUR IN EACH STORE AND SPENT $$$. WILL TAKE PICTURES OF ALL MY FINDS SOON.

HAVE TO GET GOING, I AM BABYSITTING GRANDCHILDREN TONIGHT! WILL POST YARN FINDS SOON!
