July 2007 in NH

JUST A FEW PICTURES FROM OUR STAY IN NH. WE STAYED AT A NICE LITTLE INN ON THE TIP OF LAKE WINNEPAUSAKEE.

I WAS ABLE TO GET MY DISHCLOTH FOR "THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER SWAP" DONE WHILE SITTING BY THE BEACH. VERY RELAXING!

I WAS ALSO ABLE TO GET SOME GOODIES FOR MY PARTNERS IN BOTH THE DOG DAYS SWAP AND THE KNITTERS VIRTUAL VACATION. SINCE MY HOME STATE IS SO SMALL I AM TAKING MY VIRTUAL PAL TO VISIT OTHER PLACES FOR HER VIRTUAL VACATION.

THE RIDE UP AND DOWN THE AUTO ROAD ON MT WASHINGTON WAS A NAIL BITER! BEAUTIFUL VIEW FROM SUMMIT. ALSO 30 DEGREES COOLER. I WANTED TO TAKE A PICTURE OF MY KNITTING AT THE SUMMIT BUT IT WAS TO WINDY! I WAS AFRAID IT WOULD GET BLOWN DOWN THE MOUNTAIN!

OUR HOTEL WAS ONLY ABOUT A 1/4 MILE FROM PATTERNWORKS AND KEEPSAKE QUILTING! WHAT LUCK! MY BF GAVE ME A GIFT CERTIFICATE TO THEM AND I HAD A GREAT TIME SPENDING IT. I SPENT AN HOUR IN EACH STORE AND SPENT $$$. WILL TAKE PICTURES OF ALL MY FINDS SOON.

HAVE TO GET GOING, I AM BABYSITTING GRANDCHILDREN TONIGHT! WILL POST YARN FINDS SOON!

Welcome to the world of blogging!
When I was a kid we used to vacation at lake Sunapee in NH - I've always had such great memories of those vacations. Santa's Village and Story Land in NH are great places to take the grandkids!

We took our kids to Storyland when they were little! We drove by it and it looked so small! But I remember they loved it!
Very quiet area, lots of rest and knitting!
Thank you for the welcome to blogging!

Welcome to blogland! I am having so much fun- pictures add so much.
Your pictures are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing. (I did think that the East Coast was swarming w/people but there are no houses in your view. Nice.)

Once you get out of the cities it is pretty sparse in NH and for that matter alot of New England. NH was not crowded at all and very relaxing.
